Last Days of December
New Year's Eve is fast approaching, but I'm no longer making resolutions I have no intention of keeping. I refuse to be content with any situation; therefore, re-evaluation happens as soon as I wake up in the morning and every night before I go to bed.
Someone once told me not to let a calendar tell you when to tell someone you love them, when to take a vacation or when not to wear white. Instead, let life unfold in its own unruly way and you'll be surprised with how beautiful everything can be, if you let it.
See you all in January.

I think that, no matter how I look at it, my little life really is unruly, but there are so many things in it to be content with, because there is so much beauty.

I love it! I want those pants sooo bad. & I agree people get all intense about setting goals that this week that won't last until Feb. I always have my goals in the back of mind, but I try to just take it one day at a time. But I would like to be half as fabulous as you in the new year though lol.

hey girl. I will have to agree with your friend there. I think new years is another one of those stupidly commercialized days when people just make these random and empty promises of self improvement etc....but really...all of those *things* should be done every day. grow every day. be a better person every day. a much better philosophy in my opinion!

I guess in a sense my resolution two years ago was to stop making resolutions because my whole life shouldn't be based on one day. I really admire the last quote because it embodies a lot of things I believe in.

i don't bother with making new year resolutions because i always tend to fuck it up... and it's always the same thing: eat healthier, stay in school... ahh the typical societal norms. i am quiet obsessed with orders and organization but i agree that life is beautiful when you let it unfold naturally.

Sucks what happened at the end of the night. But hey, it's a memory you won't forget it? Your friend must've been really pissed drunk to lose your keys. You should've made them pay for the locksmith! Not cheap, especially on new years. Atleast you had a somewhat of a good night. I spent countdown sitting at Blenz with a soy milk hot chocolate, then went home to an empty house and slept. Pretty rad shit.
I have to meet you in person one day. But I never attend any of the social events held in Vancouver. They're not really my thing. Maybe I'll see you at work? :)
Anyway, all the best to you in 2011! May your love life flourish; maybe you'll find an attractive, sophisticated man this year (kind of hard since Vancouver is filled with douchebags, but let's stay postitive). May all the difficulties in your life resolve itself. May you find your dream career that is tailored to suit you.
