Hello From Calgary

Left to right: Wilfred tank top, Citizens of Humanity jeans, Alexander Wang dress (I believe every woman needs a cut-out LBD; I'm going to reject so many men in this), Chanel large Reissue 2.55 flap bag, Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella.

Random stuff I've collected since I arrived in Calgary that I wanted to share because, well, that's what people do on the Internet, right? As much as I hate this city sometimes, it will always be home.

XOXO,

Not So Basic

OBESITY & SPEED SHREDDED TEE, TALULA LACE BRA, ALICE + OLIVIA LEATHER SHORTS, GUCCI SHOES

This Obesity & Speed shredded tee is the most perfect tee ever. The same day I ordered it, I also ordered this CC Skye ring and bracelet. I couldn't help it; I'm a penchant for gold shiny things. Unfortunately, I still have yet to receive it. Note: Never shop online from Harmony Lane. They fucking suck.

XOXO,

Chains and Hair Flips

ALICE + OLIVIA CROCHET CHAIN TANK TOP, AMERICAN APPAREL LACE BODYSUIT, LEVI'S JEANS, STELLA MCCARTNEY SHOES, CHANEL BAG

After bringing these sandals out to play a few days ago, I was reminded how extremely comfortable they are. The only problem is when I take them off, it looks like my feet have been grilled. Nice.

Today is my dad's 65th birthday. He doesn't look a day over 50, though (we're Asian; we age well). Growing up, my mom always had that incredibly tough love, whereas my dad was always the epitome of both strength and fragility. I'm not ashamed to admit I remain now, and will always be, a daddy's girl.

XOXO,

I've gotten a few requests to showcase my shoe collection. This proved to be a little difficult considering I keep all of my shoes in their original boxes with their dust bag(s) and tissue paper; however, it gave me an opportunity to reorganize. It also made me realize I have too many black shoes.

I often get asked how do I care for my shoes. Aside from storing them properly, once the shoe is worn and stretched enough, I take them to a shoe repair shop and have the soles topy'd and the heel taps replaced if need be. This will prolong the life of any shoe. For those of you in the Vancouver area, I highly recommend Bentall Centre Shoe Renew (also known as Parson's Shoe Re-Nu). When I worked for Gucci, this was where we'd bring a client's shoe in for repair (great place to also bring in your handbags and leather jackets). They even have red soles; perfect for Louboutins.

XOXO,

Say Something
