The Great Escape

P.S. Did you guys watch the premiere repeat of If You Really Knew Me yesterday? It's a docu-series that plays like a reality version of The Breakfast Club. I cried in the first 10 minutes, and this is coming from me—the insensitive bitch who boo's during most, if not all, TV/film death scenes; but this was different. It's an intense and striking show yet also inspiring and universally relatable for all of us who have gone through high school.
XOXO,

Lady in Red

...sort of. I bought this sequin sweater over a year ago and it's still one of my favorite pieces to wear; this time layered over a dress. These shoes were also my first pair of Christian Louboutin's, purchased in 2007. I believe I was wearing a red dress at the time as well. Not kidding.
If you haven't figured it out yet, my favorite color is red. For shits and giggles, a link to Lady in Red by Chris de Burgh can be found here. You're welcome.
XOXO,

Curly Sue

I don't think anyone can underestimate the importance of hair. It can instantly raise one's attractiveness or obliterate it. According to Hubert de Givenchy, it's also the final tip-off whether or not a person really knows themselves.
Someone once said to me, "Women should always have long hair." That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I understand that some women have an emotional attachment to their hair and fear they'll lose their femininity if it's cut too short, but those women need to get over it. It's hair; it grows back. I've already had three different styles and colors since having my extensions removed in February. I told you I get bored easily.
P.S. I really enjoyed reading everyone's facts from my previous post. There were quite a few that definitely made me laugh out loud.
XOXO,

Can You Fill Me In

People always ask me why I have a blog. I briefly dated a guy who actually thought I ran a porn site after I told him I take/post photos of myself online, which is understandable, I guess. To be perfectly honest, I have a blog because I want to express myself. I'm a girl of many moods and I like to get a response. If I didn't, I'd just keep a diary with a heart-shaped padlock on it like the one I had when I was little.
With that said, let's get to know each other better, shall we? List 5 random facts about yourself. I'll go first.
- I hate coffee.
- I google EVERYTHING.
- My very first (and worst) job was a cashier at the Calgary Zoo. I just turned 16 at the time. At 20, I got a job with Gucci. Obviously that didn't work out, but it just goes to show, you can't predict what will happen in the future.
- The first thing I notice about someone is their eyebrows. I'm fascinated by them. I'm still in the process of growing out mine after years of overplucking.
- I shop to distract myself from life's troubles, but it doesn't last long. It's like a bad fuck, and when it's over, you're just an idiot with too much crap you don't need. On the bright side, at least my crap is good crap.

Cruel Summer

My sensitivity to heat and disregard for the weather when getting dressed in the morning seem to always get me in trouble. Whoever said Asians don't sweat was a fucking moron.
As some of you already know, I was debating between this or this. Ultimately I went with the UME, but when I received the package this morning, I was shocked to find Sandee surprised me with both. Thanks so much, Sandee! In other related news, I recently ordered my first pair of Frye boots (hooray for promotion codes). I also bought this Alexander McQueen wool skull scarf. July has officially lost its meaning.

If this was an episode of Glee, I'd burst out into this song:
"I wear tight clothing, high heeled shoes. It doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute no, no."

Sometimes I can be really socially awkward, like an elephant in the room. That's usually why I end up disassociating myself from people because I'd rather be a loner. Fortunately, there are a few individuals who make me feel otherwise, in which I get to reconnect with some of them tonight.
XOXO,

"Is it awesome?" "It's pretty awesome."

My apologies if my partial nudity offends you, but it's summer and it's hot. Just be thankful I don't post 10+ photos of me in the same outfit with little variation in my facial expression... wait, did I just make fun of myself and other bloggers? I kid. Sometimes it's good not to take yourself so seriously. I'm not a model, but it's all in good fun, right?

BOESSERT/SCHORN SHIRT, AMERICAN APPAREL LACE BODYSUIT, DL1961 JEANS, YSL SHOES, CC SKYE EARRINGS, DANNIJO RING
I received this darling Boessert/Schorn top and DL1961 jeans (jeggings) from REVOLVEclothing, whom I'd like to send my sincere gratitude to. If you're like me and feel a tad insecure regarding your derriere, or lack thereof (don't get me started on my boobs), these jeans are a godsend.

I'm really excited to announce that three of my readers will receive one of the following DL1961 jeans of their own—either the Emma Legging (same pair I have), Kate Slim Straight or Milano Bootcut!
To enter, leave a comment with your email address and link to your favorite DL1961 jeans from REVOLVE's brand page, and become a fan of REVOLVE, DL1961 and BLEED FOR FASHION on Facebook. I'll then choose the winners on Thursday, July 8th. Good luck, everyone!
P.S. I took these photos right after getting my hair cut/buzzed. I wish I could keep my hair stylist in my pocket all the time.
XOXO,
