The word "bitch" no longer phases me. In fact, I use it to describe myself all the time. I am a bitch. I'm blunt, opinionated and outspoken. I never apologize for it because it means I have the courage and strength to be exactly as I am rather than being anyone else's idea of who they think I "should" be.
I don't believe in being intentionally rude or being mean for the sake of being mean, but I do believe in being real and the prevalence of truth. It's impossible to please everyone so you might as well say what you mean and mean what you say and just tell it like it is. I do this all the time and if that makes me a bitch, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.
On a different note, why some people feel so strongly about what I wear is beyond my comprehension. Might I suggest looking into a mirror before critiquing my choice of clothing? Or better yet, stop visiting my blog all together? I find it absolutely hilarious those who claim to hate me still visit me on daily basis. Yep, I see you (how's the weather in Calgary BTW?). I can change my clothes, but you'll always be ugly.

being real, doesnt always have to come off as a 'bitch' to other people. I think it's more an ego, proud thing we as human can sometimes have. It's forgiving someone, before they've said sorry. It's about doing as much as you can, without a bad attitude, to be there for someone, and if the other person will still answer in a way thats not appropriate, just let it loose.. cuz you can only do so much. It's about the peace in your heart, the genuine smile on your face. Not caring isn't for the better of yourself, it's just a way to avoid any icky emotional situations. and it's hard, it's hard to stay in the highs rather than in the lows. but boy, would life be boring if it was perfect.

i would also describe myself as someone who is strongly opinionated but i loathe the term bitch because it's inherently sexist; a guy who knows what he feels and articulates it is seen as headstrong and independent...a girl is a bitch. it makes me angry that girls use this term to describe each other, because all it does is perpetuate the gender inequality. but good for you for knowing who you are. also, you dress amazingly well, it is laughable that people think it is worth their time to come here and criticise you. they need to get lives.

Is it not possible to be "real" and believe in the "pervalence of truth" without being rude or mean? I think if we really want to get our points across, it's best delivered with love... not to make people who we think they should be, but to help them become the best versions of themselves.
People (even haters) probably come to your site because you look beautiful and dress classy with a touch of edge and uniqueness. However, I bet if us women showed more of our inner beauty (through our words mostly, especially for well-known bloggers), all the less reason for anyone to dislike us...

This ish really blows my mind when I see people wanting to find ANYTHING negative to say to someone's success! I cannot fathom where people get the right to think their silly opinion of something that has nothing to do with them nor is affecting them whatsoever needs to be heard or stated.
Today I was featured as "Fashion Bombshell of the Day" on fashionbombdaily.com (where I found you a long time ago..hehe)..and it amazed me at the negativity I got from people ALL BECAUSE I DECIDED TO OPT OUT OF COMMENTS! LOL! YES, because the owner ASKED me did I want comments and I simply said "hmmm..if I have a choice..no thanks". Can you believe that I got an email sent to my blog putting me down because I didn't want comments?? That ish BLOWS MY MIND! As positive and encouraging as I am as a person I could not understand it. Therefore they voted AGAINST me instead of for me...It almost ruined my day but I said you know what..I KNOW WHO I AM AND I WON'T STOP BEING ME FOR ANYBODY!

Women are wont to do that, to belittle and demean other women, for whatever reasons, but usually it's because of an inferiority complex. They come to your blog because they wish they could have your clothes and your money and your style and your beauty but they can't, so they have to put you down to elevate themselves. If someone else is smaller, then that means that they must be bigger, right? Well A + B doesn't equal C.
I'm used to it and have developed a thick skin for it. I imagine that you have as well. I've always told myself that it's nothing to worry about because delusions of grandeur don't affect the people they try to hurt; they only affect the self-deluded.

I totally agree. I guess some people don't have the guts to say what they mean and mean what they say in the real world so they really let loose online. I don't understand why even waste time commenting on an outfit you don't like. That time can be used finding someone who inspires you. You know you're great though. Look how far your self-made blog has gotten? Next time, don't even give them the satisfaction of recognition. It's like blood for sharks.
