I think both being content/happy and having fun aren't exactly mutually exclusive. I think, that, if you're living your life to the extent that your main goal is contentment and happiness, many moments of fun would be included in that. However, if your objective in life is to have fun with the ultimate goal is to be happy, that might be kind of a pie-crust way of life. Easily resolved, easily broken. One can definitely lead to the other, but the other doesn't necessarily result in the former.... does this make any sense?

Can I ask what breed your dog is? I have a stuffy that looks EXACTLY the same as her and have been wanting a real version to call my baby :(
@Jane: She's a shitzu/poodle. She's usually more fluffy but we just recently had her shaved.
You see m to be at peace. It's always nice to go to an old familiar place. I don't know why the "Cheers" theme song popped in my head when I typed that. Anyway, I think we need to spend more time at places like these.

Totally agree with you on the having fun vs. being happy. In the long run I would definitely like to be happy instead of having fun temporarily.

I think having fun and being happy are two totally different things. One can have fun in the moment, but true happiness is a process, indeed. Once you find happiness, you never want to let it go though.. and I think true happiness first begins within oneself. :)
