Toast Tonight

T.BABATON TANK TOP, J BRAND CARGO PANTS, CHRISTIAN LOUBUTIN SHOES

So much for growing my hair out (I've lost count how many times I've said that). I'm leaving for Sin City in exactly 6 hours. This will be my first time going and I'm ridiculously excited. Vegas, baby! Vegas!

My sister and I, back when I was 5 and she was 13. Today would've been her 31st birthday. She taught me so much, but the one that stands out to me the most is to never take people for granted. If she was here right now, she'd tell me to quit crying and to celebrate her life instead of mourning her death, which is exactly what I plan on doing. Happy birthday, Linda. I hope you're having a blast partying in paradise. I'm sorry I never told you all I wanted to say.

XOXO,

Have double the fun for both you AND Linda. Be sure to enjoy yourself and live in the moment! Your sister sounds like an amazing character and definitely shares the same smile. Keep on loving, living and laughing (corny, but I mean it).

Lily, I'm so sorry for this. I've never had a sister, so I will never understand the bond that two sisters can share. But this is beautiful. She would've been so proud to see you grow in remembrance of her.

Ironically, I JUST posted something about loss and death because someone I know just lost their father recently. The quote I used was:

"What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." - Helen Keller

So though the recovery may seem long and often impossible, just remember that in grieving, it's a promise of healing. And that it is the most potent remedy that our hearts need to heal, withstand and love continually.

You'll have a swell time in LV! Christian Loubutin heels are my favorites. You're very strong for having a positive attitude. I believe in celebrating peoples lives and not their passing. Much love. xo

Lily, death of a loved one is always something that one can never quite get over. I know your sis would be proud of the beautiful young woman that you have become. You continue to inspire people around the world through one of your passions, which is fashion and your words. I hope you have a great time in Vegas, and party it up for her too. Btw your hair cut looks amazing. Have fun love :)

I love your hair, and those jeans and shoes were made to be worn together.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend in February. It's something you never stop feeling, and I can't imagine losing my sister. You both are so beautiful in the photo.

I love the hair ... and the tops is sweet .. I like this combo - army pants and this sweet feminine top ... bearing with the death of our loved ones is so hard, but you gotta be strong, you know, they're watching on us I'm sure, from up above.

I already texted you all I wanted to say.

She's shining down on you from Heaven. And smiling.

Celebrate in Vegas, you know she would have lived it up if she were here to join you, too.

Like I said, leave your cares somewhere on the side of Tropicana BLVD, and just live it up as well as you can!

I'm truly sorry for your loss, Lily, and of course, certain days are harder than others although that raw pain is always there. I don't think it goes away. As much as I want to remember a lost one and smile, I just haven't been able to get to that place. Maybe that will change one day - who knows? What I do know is that life is short and you have to live it without regret.

Most of the time people know how you feel without you actually saying it. I'm sure your sister knew how much she meant to you. Have fun for both of you, because you both deserve that.

The bond between sisters is stronger than any other relationship you will ever have. When you look at your sister, you often times see yourself. You see your own eyes, your mistakes, your frustrations, your happiness. The love between sisters is pure unconditional LOYALTY. Your sister is still with you. Everyday.

You are so strong! Everyone is here for you.

i have just recently fallen into your blog, and i must say its sooo satisfying to see that behind the pretty pictures and amazing wardrobe (u are truly my style soul mate) lies a real person. often the internet is used as a way for people to present the best (and sometimes worst) aspect of themselves or who they want people to think they are. but your blog is a breath of fresh air.

thanks for your bravery and may many others follow.
