Walk in the Park

CLUB MONACO BOMBER PARKA, TALULA SWEATER, ALYTHEA SEQUIN SKIRT C/O SHOPPALU, BURBERRY PRORSUM SHOES, WILFRED SCARF, H&M FAUX FUR COLLAR, CHANEL BAG, MICHAEL KORS WATCH

I spent Remembrance Day weekend at home in Calgary to see my family and get fitted for my bridesmaid dress for Carrie and Jon's wedding. I'm so excited that you'd think I was the one getting married. Carrie is my closest and dearest friend, and I'm absolutely honored to be one of the few chosen to stand next to her on the most joyous occasion of her life.

XOXO,

Looove the fur stole!

Everyone has a constant battle of the mind, just work hard to overcome it. Don't let your thoughts get to you too much. Everyone has low days, remind yourself that you are always enough. You don't need to please anyone.

Adore the element of surprise the sequinned skirt brings.

You are not along in your struggles. Everyone hits rock bottom sometimes in their lives, which only means one thing. Everything thing else in your life can only mean that you are going to be climbing back to the top.

Lily! i totally understand what you mean... and easier said than done, but you have to stay as positive as you can through all your struggles and you'll come out stronger and happier at the end... but you're not alone in thinking in that way either... and just my little thought, but I think you are absolutely beautiful, generous, kind and smart and am so grateful I have met you! hope you feel better, and when i am back lets go get some hot tea or drinks and i'll feed you some of the delicious snacks i'm stocking up my suitcase with in Japan.

I can relate to what your talking about. I find meditation works. Concentrating on the positive and disregarding the negative but most of all doing things that make me feel good without compromising my happiness.

Hope everything works out well

You have no need to ever have low self-esteem, I know we all go there but you are one of the most beautiful and inspiring people I know. Seriously! And this look is just insanely beautiful, I love all the little details, it's edgy but still super glamorous. So beautiful pally :)

This may not mean much coming from someone twice your age, but; You are an amazing, intelligent, socially-aware and beautiful young woman! I wish there were more young people with your wonderful sensibilities.

Your worst enemy is your inner critic, sit it down, tell it you appreciate it's chatter, but you're trusting your intuitive spirit and that's what's up! Keep shining beautiful star...

I love the mix of textures, I've always been sort of a puss whenever I try to combine different textures to outfits, but you make me want to push myself! It is definitely winter wedding season, I've actually got a wedding for this weekend and I'm pretty excited!

And I definitely feel you on the not enough and too much feeling. It's a very odd feeling.

Love this outfit. Hope you'll have pics of your dress from the wedding.

You are GORGEOUS. Self esteem issues, woah. I definitely feel you on the not good enough, too needy etc bits though. We all have those moments I guess.

You are amazing with your words. I always have thoughts in my head that I can't seem to put into a tangible sentence but a lot of times, I'll read your blog and the thoughts that I try to make sense of is right there.

Thanks for the insights and inspiring words. I really hope you get through your struggles - you're amazing and I hope you know that :)

We obviously need to catch up.

You already know that I often feel that I'm never enough. And I need to know/learn that I am enough for myself.

I thank God/Universe/Whatever (I love how you use this line now-shows my influence. ahhaahahah) that I have people like you to keep me grounded and grateful.

First off, amazing outfit as always. Second, I love how you are always on point with the stuff you right. I feel the same way too sometimes. Next week going to LA and NYC again is me embarking on another one of my many personal journeys which will involve critisism (agencies and myself in relation to other models), fear (ok more like the fear of a lack of public transport in LA!) but also learning something new and bringing it back with me to London. I too also have to remember my blessings. At my age my mom was a single parent with me, doing training in between jobs and here I am thinking life sucks because I need to finace that Acne jacket I crave. Fuck it. I'm excited about next week and I am determined to DREAM IT. WISH IT. DO IT !

yay! i have the same skirt! short isn't it?!! but i love it!! will post my pic of me in it soon!! love seeing how you styled it!

Love the bomber and the scarf you chose. Very chic.

As for what you wrote in your last paragraph - yes I feel like that is very common - too much of the bad things and too little of the good. I feel that is a struggle that a lot of us have - but you appear to be talented, smart, beautiful and with great style - so hope you are reminded of that on a constant basis :)
