Color Me Happy

CHEAP MONDAY DENIM JACKET, CLUB MONACO SEQUIN TANK TOP & PANTS, CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN SHOES, CHANEL BAG, RAY-BAN SUNGLASSES

I've always prided myself on being a strong person. Someone who rolls with the punches, walk through the fire and come out smiling with my makeup and hair still in tact. But no matter how strong an individual may be, no one is immune to weakness. I readily admit my vulnerability because there are moments when I just want to break down. I found a scrap of paper the other day that reminded me of such rare moments. Just thought I share these quotes:

"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is a process. Working together is a success." — Henry Ford

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.'" — Mary Anne Radmacher

"Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Greatness is not in where we stand, but in what direction we are moving. We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it. But sail we must, and not drift, nor lie at anchor." — Oliver Wendell Holmes

Post-Birthday Recap

Just a few of the 35468732178 photos taken at my birthday celebration. I spent Saturday night catching up with friends, dancing and feeding my soul the much needed replenishment it needed. I'm not the measure of what I've done, but more of who I am and those who've I've surrounded myself with. There are few people who grace my life with getting to know not what I like, but what I'm like. I'm talking about those who've gotten past the surface level, almost drowned and still cares to risk the depth of my whole existence. They are the reason I am the way I am, in which I am grateful.

Today I Turn 23

Today is my birthday and what better way to celebrate than going nude... and a giveaway! Josh and Kleah of Charlie & Lee is so wonderful to offer one of my readers yet another $100 promo code. Relocating from Victoria, I recently had the pleasure of visiting their new space in the heart of Chinatown at 223 Union Street. Needless to say, it's pretty amazing.

There's No Place Like Home

T.BABATON SWEATER, TANK TOP & SKIRT, YSL SHOES

Me and my baby girl in front of my parents' home. I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend spent with the people I love the most and who loves me the most in this world.

Having fun versus being happy: two of the same or completely different? Having fun implies temporary gratification, but being happy is a life-long process. I don't know. All I do know is I'm taking care of me, and that karma's only a bitch if you are. Think about it.

What Happens in Vegas

TARA JARMON SEQUIN SWEATER, BCBG GENERATION SHORTS, FRYE SHOES

...stays in Vegas; therefore, no photos (sorry, folks!). We stayed at the ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter and had the most amazing time. I can't wait to go back. In other related news, I'm going to Calgary this weekend. Nowhere near as exciting as Vegas, but it'll be nice to spend some quality time with the fam.

Toast Tonight

So much for growing my hair out (I've lost count how many times I've said that). I'm leaving for Sin City in exactly 6 hours. This will be my first time going and I'm ridiculously excited. Vegas, baby! Vegas!

My sister and I, back when I was 5 and she was 13. Today would've been her 31st birthday. She taught me so much, but the one that stands out to me the most is to never take people for granted. If she was here right now, she'd tell me to quit crying and to celebrate her life instead of mourning her death, which is exactly what I plan on doing. Happy birthday, Linda. I hope you're having a blast partying in paradise. I'm sorry I never told you all I wanted to say.
