Need to Get Away

T.BABATON SWEATER, CHEAP MONDAY TOP, H&M LEGGINGS, SEE BY CHLOE SHOES, CC SKYE NECKLACE, GUCCI & MICHAEL KORS WATCHES, HERMES & CC SKYE BRACELETS
It's been 4 months and 8 days since my trip to Nepal. I wish I had written more in my travel journal, but I was focused more on getting out and experiencing things than stopping to capture a piece of the moment on paper. I was in a constant state of just being in the present. Not thinking, not doing, just... being.
When I came back, I came back with more appreciation of the roof that keeps me warm, the material things I can afford to consume, and my family, friends and boyfriend who are alive and well. But I feel myself loosing sight. I also find myself less and less interested in keeping up with this blog. I mean, do people even still read this crap?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
XOXO,

There are times when I lose motivation or interest in things but I wanna let you know that I definitely love reading the writing on your blog! Your writing sets you apart from other blogs and it adds substance. It's up to you, but I'd be really disappointed if you discontinued writing on your blog.

I love your blog- but I agree with you, a blog hiatus does seem welcoming sometimes. Your style is impeccable, and it's always such a delight to read you sharing glimpses of your life.

Yup, I do! =)
I like how you are putting effort into you life. I felt like sharing my own experience with blogging. I used to be so uptight and stressed out about the fact that I neeeeded to have at least one outfit post each day or every two days. I dragged along my sister and boyfriend photographing my outfits. But it took away the reason I started blogging. Is that it should not become a hassle or something you just have to do. And you can't always give up on something you've done and used to love. It really made me think about my structure and my layout. I got rid of everything in my layout that I did not want anymore. And it's definitely a process; do it step by step. I started doing little challenges in wearing 'denim shorts' in 4 different ways. But do make it your own! What can you contribute that your readers will like, but more important what you like. I'd maybe say have a new addition to your blog, telling the story behind a purhased item. Telling more about whats in the picture you posted. I don't know.. just ideas.
Love the layering!
I love to read the thing you write. I totally recognize myself in them. So please don't stop blogging and writing :)

i love your mind lily, i love how you use words to convey experience and advice to readers, reading your blog is like finding a letter an old friend would have written me before she left, you always give me something new to go along with
Gorgeous outfit and great photos! Love your top, your sweater and your shoes! xxx

I totally understand what you are going through right now. There are times in life when you reflect on why do you value material things and whats the point of doing anything in life when you think about people who are less fortunate than you are. But I do have to say I enjoy reading your blog and just because of the fashion. You seem to have something intelligent and worth saying than most bloggers who only blog about fashion. I think you have a gift when it comes to writing and think its great to share it with the world. Have you ever considered writing a book or being a motativator speaker?
i really like the shirt, the way its cascading down one one side. Loves. And yes, i still read your blog :)

I always look forward to read new post from you. If you feel the call to continue this blog, it will be a pleasure to read your journey, but if you don't, then it is ok too :D

Yes, we do! Please don't stop posting. We need blogs like yours with real content!
Lily, I feel your pain. After life changing events, you promise yourself that you will "appreciate the little things" or "stop and smell the roses", etc. But real life always seems to come with more punch than the enlightening moments can fight against.
As for your blog, I do truly love it. I am having my own personal battle with my blog - with FAR FAR FAR LESS comments and FAR FAR FAR LESS followers, I often wonder "what is the point". But at some moment, doesn't your virtual documentation excite you? The ability to look back at where your creative path began and how your grew along the way - isn't it reward enough?
I can totally understand how you might not feel particurly inclined to keep up a personal style blog after your whole experiences, but you have to think of the larger scope - your blog brings so much inspiration to ppl, and as the person who gives it, you're actually doing something pretty selfless!
Anyway, as for this outfit - stunning! Love the layered top and sweater, I would have never thought of pairing them together and it seriously looks so amazing! Beautiful as ever my love xoxo
of course we still read your blog!!! love every post you make!! <3

I read your blog :) absolutely! I remember that girl who was so materialistic & would not look into a larger scope! I stopped reading your stuff for a while since sometimes I would find it quiet depressing. I tried again on a random day & found YOU to be so changed!! I couldn't believe it! You had found the true meaning of life [well that's what i thought] aside from materialistic belongings of you who at the end of the day will not make you happy because you will just want to consume more and more = NONSTOP! ANYWAYS wish you the best! & wish you keep blogging to inspire more girls!
I still read your blog and love it! As well as i loove this outfit :)

I understand where you're coming from. I spent time volunteering in Guatemala at an orphanage. When I came back, this life seemed empty in comparison to what I felt there.
I read your blog and love it when it comes up in my Google Reader. I appreciate your style, your stories, and your candor. Thank you for being here.
You make me warm.
Miss you.
LOVEYOUBFF.

The importance you've placed on certain aspects of your life have changed. What you're feeling is quite normal. I've gone through this a few times. It happens gradually, but when you realize what's happening, it can be a little jarring.

Yes! People still read this blog! You are smart, thoughtful..you dont just give us fashion, you give us art, inspiration...Just so you know before you came along I never knew of that organization that you can volunteer for vacation. I now plan on going to Nepal in January 2013. This is a direct result of me reading this blog. You are meaningful, and powerful. I read a handful of fashion blogs but this is my favorite because I always look to what you have to say. I know it will be interesting. Please dont stop. I support you, we support you.
