If you couldn't already tell, my boyfriend likes taking close-up photos of my face. I think the best compliment women can get is to be told how beautiful they are in their barest of forms, fresh from sleep, morning breath and all. The things that I consider flawed, my boyfriend thinks is perfect. It's wonderful to be appreciated and adored in every way possible (cue barfing here). Still, that doesn't stop me from pulling out my makeup. When it's appropriate, women like to FEEL as beautiful as you think they are, and in all honesty, makeup is that genie in a bottle.
From time to time people ask me what I think is the most important part of an outfit. My answer: shoes, obviously. I recently purchased these black Rachel Comey boots to replace my black DV by Dolce Vita boots. One item in, one item out; a philosophy to live by. Every time I buy something new, I donate something old, and vice versa. I'll never be able to fill a whole walk-in closet and am kind of proud of that.

I love those boots and pants! I keep seeing people with them and it makes me feel I need to justify buying some into my life. I'm not sure if I can do the "buy one, donate one" philosophy though! Kudos to you for doing that!
