In the Village

Complete and utter randomness:
- Last week was a long and exhausting week at work. I put in 50 hours and was incredibly grateful for the long weekend.
- My boyfriend and I had yet another lovely time in Whistler. We ate, we drank, we danced and we ate some more. The Scandinave Spa was the cherry on top (minus his car getting stuck in the snow/ice on the way there!).
- I'm considering moving to a new neighbourhood. I've been living in Yaletown for 4 years now and think it's time for a change of scenery.
- As women, some of us feel all sorts of emotions at any given moment regardless of what time of the month it is. One minute we're on top of the world and the next we're crying into a tub of Häagen-Dazs Green Tea & Honey Vanilla ice cream. I am no exception.
- Speaking of women, you know how men want "a lady in the streets, but a freak in the sheets?" Well, if you're like me, you want a nice guy to be an asshole in bed. Wait, what?
- While real women appreciate nice guys, real women don't want pushovers either, especially in the bedroom. Even the strongest woman wants to be put in her place once in while, and I'm a firm believer one of these whiles is during sex. Yeah, I said it.
I Believe

This morning I woke up with smile on my face, not only because I gained an hour of sleep thanks to daylight saving time, but because this week I'm starting my new job title as Customer Care Supervisor. Also this week, I'm meeting with the marketing team of a world class educational institution to discuss freelance writing, and my boyfriend and I are going to Whistler again for the long weekend.
I feel like this is all too good to be true. I keep waiting for something bad to happen because we never get everything we want in life, but for now, I need not spend time divulging on the negative; I'd much rather invest energy and time focusing on the positive. At the end of the day, after all the hard work is done, we all got to believe in something, and I believe in me.
